Hi and hello! I’m Kay Parton, a recently-licensed stylist with an interest in vivid hair color, blonding, alternative styles, and gender-affirming styles. I have a passion for finding and learning new techniques, as well as refining and perfecting tried and true methods. After getting my bachelor’s in biology and working solely in that field for a few years, I found that I needed a fresh start in a career that combined my passion for both science and artistry; my search led me straight to the beauty industry. I’ve found that playing near-mad chemist with hair color and designer with cuts and styles has filled me with a joy I think everyone deserves to have in their career.

 

As a detail-oriented person, I love to work with guests to find what about a style or color makes them feel whole, bold, and unique. Whether it’s a quick trim or a style to make you feel brand new, I love helping others find what makes them feel most like themselves. I find happiness in getting to know the people that sit in my chair, including knowing when they just want to relax and enjoy a quiet appointment. Feel free to chat with me through the entire session about life, the universe, and everything, or let me know that you’d just like to sit back and quietly chill and vibe with me.

 

When I’m not in the salon, you can usually find me at home with a book, working on a crochet project, creating a new recipe in the kitchen, or playing farming games with my husband. One thing is for certain: you’ll always find my dog next to me.
