Welcome in! I’m Corena, and I’m so excited to begin this journey with you. My love for hair actually started long before I decided to go to cosmetology school. Back in high school, I was in color guard and would do everyone’s hair and makeup for performances—it quickly became something I couldn’t imagine not doing.
I first came across Alder Hair Co. while searching for hair and makeup for my own wedding in 2022. The moment I stepped into the salon, I knew it was somewhere special—and shortly after getting married, I joined the team as a stylist. Since then, I’ve discovered where my passion truly lies. I’ve focused on perfecting the art of lived-in color, blondes, dimensional color, and soft, textured, shaggy cuts. I’ve also expanded my skills and passion for bridal hair and makeup, which I absolutely love being a part of.
I feel like my work reflects who I am. I’m soft-spoken with a big heart, and that shows up in my color work as well as the connections I build with my guests. Life can get hectic, but when you sit in my chair, my goal is to give you space to relax, unwind, and feel cared for. I pride myself on being personable and present—I want to learn about your hair, but also learn about you. I believe a salon visit should be more than the same small talk every time. I want to laugh with you, talk about the things that make you happy, and create a genuine connection.
Outside the salon, life is full with my husband, our 4-year-old, and our six animals. In the summer, we love to be outdoors exploring with our camper and side-by-side, while in the cooler months we enjoy slowing down at home together. Music is one of my biggest loves, so catching more concerts is high on my list too.

Corena was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day! From the initial communication to the hair trial to the day of, she was very responsive and truly understood what I wanted for my wedding day! I was on the fence about getting my hair done or doing it myself to cut on costs, and I didn’t regret hiring her one bit and was so grateful that I did! I would not have been able to do anything like she did for me! She went above and beyond by touching up one of my bridesmaid’s hair who she was not hired to do. I cannot recommend her enough!!

We had the best Hair and Makeup artists KayLeigh and Corena from Alder Hair Studio for our wedding! This is the dream team for making you feel beautiful on your big day. These girls were so incredibly talented, and make you feel like the best version of yourself. Not only did they get everyone's hair and makeup done in a very tight timeline but they made sure to take the time to explain what they were doing and ask what bridal party members wanted for there looks. On top of it I found out after the wedding one of my bridesmaids who has a skin condition asked the makeup artists to help cover it up and they helped make her feel beautiful in her own skin, I have never seen her glow with confidence she truly felt and looked stunning!
